Gulf War (Iraq & Kuwait) Significant Activities “SIGACTs”

(IN PROGRESS)

This figure depicts the locations of U.S. airstrikes during the month of February 1991, a number of which involved the use of cluster munitions. The color of each point denotes the type of weapon used: red denotes known cluster munition use; yellow, unknown munition type; and blue, other (e.g. M117).

The Political Violence Lab is currently piecing together various records of significant activities tracked by the U.S. military during the first Gulf War. This page will be updated as these efforts develop.
